Protective Film for Metals

Temporary surface protection of sheet metals used in manufacturing operations is essential, and our films are made to handle specific customer applications. Our films are designed to have excellent performance during processing. Pregis PolyMask™ has low-density films that can be cut, punched, and formed easily while still adhering to the protected surface. Our proprietary “A” film has superior puncture and abrasion resistance for roll forming operations. In addition, we have films that can handle high heat and are UV resistant for extended outdoor use with no adhesive transfer. Our films work on many different metals, such as steel, aluminum, pre-painted sheets, pre-coated sheets, uncoated sheets, and corrugated sheets. Choosing the proper temporary protective film ensures that a metal part of the surface is protected throughout fabrication, storage, assembly, and shipment.

Laser Films

Our films offer excellent adhesion, which means no bubbling during cutting. We offer three different adhesion levels; we work with you to provide the right one for your application. Our films provide a smooth release with no adhesive transfer – this makes the removal process pain-free. Our NEW formulation cuts cleaner, with fewer burrs. There is no pre-burning of shapes needed; just cut one time to get what you need, reducing machine time and cost! As laser speeds get faster and faster (up to 15k now!), you need a film that can keep up with those speeds – our films allow you to cut at higher speeds with sharper lines, improving the quality of parts and increasing production.

Steel Service Centers & Uncoated Metals

Anodized and stainless metals face many fabricating, finishing, handling, and shipping processes. Those environments put that milled, bright, brushed finish at risk from scratches, damage, or contamination. The performance of our protective films allows you to do almost anything to metal – except damage it. Suppose you’re a fabricator or metal service center. In that case, you can count on our protective film solutions to ensure your metal emerges from bending, drilling, stamping, shearing, and assembly processes without damage. We have a portfolio of products to protect many applications in this industry.
